Why Use Cold Fire?

As a non-toxic, non-corrosive product it can be batch mixed directly into booster tanks with no need to flush out lines. Its thermal insulation capability prevents re-ignition when properly applied, extinguishing the fire faster while using less water, reducing water damage and water supply needs. There is no messy clean up. It is non-slip. It has an indefinite shelf life when stored in closed containers, booster tanks, water pressurized units or closed loop systems, ready for use at anytime.

Cold Fire™has been tested and approved by Underwriters Laboratories in the United States and Canada. The U.S. Environmental Protection Program has listed Cold Fire™on their Significantly New Alternative Policy (SNAP) Program Vendor List. This list contains products that are considered acceptable alternatives to toxic products on the market today.

Cold Fire can be batch mixed in trucks, added to foam tanks, educted directly from the pail, used with proportioning systems and CAF systems.

An application of a small percentage of Cold Fire™ to water is required, with no special equipment, training or cleanup. This mixture can also be sprayed on structures and surrounding areas for protection from oncoming wildfires.

Cold Fire™ has many applications beyond wildfires and structure protection. Cold Fire™ is an excellent safety product for plumbers, welders, roofers and all who work with hot surfaces and open flames.

Cold Fire has the extraordinary ability to remove extreme heat from any object with which it comes in contact. It works to remove the heat and hydrocarbon fuel source from the fire triangle. The suppressants in this agent use water as a catalyst to remove the heat as well as to encapsulate and break down the hydrocarbons in the fuel source to rapidly extinguish the fire. Cold Fire is not only a wetting agent but a cooling agent.

Only a small percentage of this cooling agent is required when added to water – as low os 0.25%.  Cold Fire is non-toxic, non-corrosive, and environmentally safe. It has a unique thermal insulation capability that prevents re-ignitions when properly applied. It also enhances the penetration capability of water, thereby extinguishing fire faster and using less water.

Cold Fire has an extraordinary effect when used to fight wildfires. During the last few fire seasons some forests have seen application of  Cold Fire. Many rural fire departments and other non-federal firefighting support units have applied this product to private structures on non-federal lands thereby saving many homes from wild fires.

Cold Fire will reduce firestorms and help control fires. It will also protect structures, prevent catastrophic and economically devastating forest fires as well as establishing fire lines around controlled burns.
